Speed, Agility & Injury Prevention

DTS is hosting a Speed, Agility & Injury Prevention classes this Fall season at Soccer Centers led by Coach Johans. The classes are open to boys & girls ages 7-13 + High school ages. Each class will feature age appropriate training exercises & guidance to maximize players physical development!

What is taught in class:

Speed, Agility, Balance & Endurance
Using ladders, hurdles, ropes, agility testing, and specialized equipment, athletes will prepare for real game situations & how to take the next step physically!

Injury Prevention
Improvement in running mechanics • Stretching/Strengthening, Plyometrics • Emphasis on correct posture-balance, straight up-and-down jumps without excessive side-to-side movement, and reinforcing soft landings.

Technical Skills: Ball Control/First Touch
Coach Johan’s has designed special exercises combining physical activity (speed, agility, core) with technical work on the ball. This approach to training will be a defining factor in separating players from their competition over the season!

*During this class players will receive training with & without the soccer ball.
