This class is designed for the players who want to push their physical skills to the next level! This will be an intense & physically demanding class that incorporates plyometrics, strength training and mobility techniques to push athletes to a new level of force production.
The serious soccer player rarely has an “off-season” which can ultimately be detrimental to their game. Taking the time to “put the ball down” and focus on strength development and proper mechanics is proven to enhance overall ability, decrease injury potential & improve confidence.
The goal of this soccer class is to show players how to warm up & cool down, provide soccer specific strength training and plyometric drills to increase speed and power.
This is an elite level class recommended age for this class is 10-14 years old.
Players be advised to wear turf shoes or cleats and shin guards!
The classes will be instructed by Kim Leary. Kim is a former D1 College player and played semi-professional. She is a certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA and comes to DTS with years of experience working with Elite Athletes. She will guide each athlete through a progressive curriculum using proven techniques to decrease the risk of serious injury. The classes will be supported by homework and lecture material for parents and players to fully understand what is being taught.
